Learning Module 2

Our Purpose is to Glorify God –Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen. Ephesians 3:21;  “In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:” That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. Ephesians 1:11,12; Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.”1 Corinthians 10:31;For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope. Romans 15:4

Here are Five Priorities as Disciples that are essential in achieving our Purpose,

As outlined in the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20) and the Great Commandment (Matthew 22:36-).

❖ To worship – “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart.”

❖ To Minister – “Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.”

❖ To Outreach – “Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel.”

❖ To Fellowship – “Baptize them.”

❖ To Teach – “Teaching them to observe all things.”

By adhering to these priorities, we:

➢ Inspire individuals to develop a Heart for God through Worship (Psalm 34:1-3)

➢ Involve in various ministry opportunities (1 Peter 4:10-11)

➢ Impact Gympie and beyond with the gospel (Acts 1:8)

➢ Include individuals in a nurturing Church family (Acts 2:41-47)

➢ Instruct individuals in foundational Bible doctrines (2 Timothy :2).

➢ Greeting one another – 1 Corinthians 16:20; Romans 16:16

➢ Reading of the Scripture – 1 Thessalonians 5:27; Nehemiah 8:8 Our particular manner of worship can be described in four words: Understandable We have the philosophy that you should come away from the Church service and say, “I understood that and I’ve got something that I can put into practice and be “doers of the word and not hearers only.” James 1:22 Uplifting Our services are intended to inspire you to have a heart for God and uplift you in your walk with God to help you “mount up with wings as eagles.” Isaiah 40:31 Unifying The Bible says the world will know we are the disciples of Jesus when we “have love one to another” John 13:34-35. By the end of a service we strive to be that much closer to one another and to dwell in unity with each other. Ephesians 4:1-3; Psalm 133:1 Unique

As a Disciple of Jesus Christ and serving in Crossroads Baptist Church, We are to strive to be the type of Church team that members and visitors say “I was glad when they said unto me, let us go into the house of the Lord” Psalm 122:1. There is no place like home!
